This board was used in the Ryuo Tournament between Sota Fujii Ryuo and Takumi Ito 7-dan, which was held at the former Yasukawa residence in Kitakyushu City on October 25.
We obtained the raw wood through a bidding process in the national forest of Miyazaki City. It is a high-grade material that is more than 400 years old and is recognizable at a glance as Hyuga-grown. The wood was obtained through a bidding process at the end of the Showa period, and has been sufficiently dried. The grain of the wood is very fine and very sharp. The wood is reddish brown and has a calm atmosphere. The grid is in hera-mori style. The lines of grid are thick and very durable.
